Ingredients
100 g butter or margarine
4-6 cooking apples, depending on size
2 eggs
200 ml Dansukker Granulated Sugar
100 ml plain flour
200 ml desiccated coconut
50 ml hazelnuts, finely chopped (optional)
Instructions
Set the oven temperature to 175 °C.
Melt the fat and leave to cool. Grease an ovenproof tin.
Beat the eggs and sugar until fluffy. Add the flour, coconut and nuts. Stir in the cooled butter or margarine.
Peel, halve and core the apples. Arrange them rounded side up in the baking tin. Pour over the cake mixture.
Bake in the centre of the oven for about 30 minutes. Serve with vanilla sauce, vanilla ice cream, cream or crème fraîche.
