Vanilla ice cream

Home-made vanilla ice cream may sound ordinary, but it is delicious. And it is goes with almost everything. Enjoy your vanilla ice cream with fresh berries, fruit and chocolate sauce.

Ingredients

8 egg yolks
130-170 g Dansukker Granulated Sugar
1 tsp Dansukker Vanilla Sugar
400 ml milk
300 ml whipping cream
280 g Dansukker Glucose Syrup

Instructions

In a bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, sugar and vanilla sugar.

In a saucepan, bring the milk, cream and glucose syrup to the boil. Beat the egg mixture into the hot milk mixture.

Sieve through a fine-meshed sieve and leave to cool. Churn the mixture in an ice-cream maker or pour into a rectangular mould, approx. 18x25 cm, and freeze for at least 5 hours.
