Rinse redcurrants, put in a saucepan. Add 1 kg peeled and chopped apples, 1,5 kg jam sugar, bring to boil and simmer for a while. Remaining sugar with water bring to boil in another saucepan, add remaining apples, cut into pieces. Simmer until apples become translucent but do not dissolve. Let both mixtures cool a little, then put in jars in layers.
