Fig marmalade with muscovado cane sugar

Heavenly fig marmalade with notes of licorice. Serve with a good piece of blue cheese.

200 g dried figs
100 ml water
95 g Dansukker Dark Muscovado Sugar
85 g Dansukker Jam Sugar


Soak the figs in a bowl of cold water for 10 minutes. Chop them into small pieces. Put the figs, water, muscovado cane sugar and jam sugar into a saucepan. Simmer for about 3–4 minutes.

Pour the jam into a warm, carefully washed jar. Seal and store in a cool place.
