Ingredients

Basic recipe for shrub
150 g strawberries
300 ml balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar
Dansukker Cane Sugar Granulated

Sangria
Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries
5 tbsp shrub
1 lemon
1 lime
1 bunch of mint
750 dl sparkling wine (alcohol-free is just as good)
500 ml carbonated water
Dansukker Cane Sugar Granulated

Instructions

Shrub
Rinse and chop the strawberries. Place them in a thoroughly-cleaned glass jar with a tight lid.
Heat the vinegar in a pan but do not let it boil. Pour over the strawberries and seal well. Place in the refrigerator and leave to stand for at least 2 days.
Pour the vinegar through a fine-meshed sieve a couple of times until the liquid is completely clear. Boil the vinegar together with the sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved and pour into a thoroughly-cleaned glass jar. Seal. Store in the refrigerator.

Sangria
Rinse and cut the berries and fruit into smaller pieces and place in a jug with the shrub. Add some of the mint and pour over the sparkling wine and carbonated water. Finally, add a little sugar and stir.

Tip!
Make the shrub at least a few days before serving. The flavour will become more intense the longer it stands.
