Ingredients

150 ml milk
1 packet saffron
100 g yogurt
300 g wheat flour
15 g baking powder
1 pinch of salt
75 g cold butter
40 g Dansukker White Syrup

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 220°C on the top and bottom heat setting.

Heat milk and add the saffron. Allow to cool slightly and then stir in the yogurt.

Mix together flour, baking powder and salt. Cut the butter into small pieces and mix together with the flour mixture. Add the milk mixture and the syrup and work together quickly to make a dough.

Using floured or wet hands, divide the dough into 8 parts and place on a sheet of baking paper.

Bake in the middle of the oven for about 10-12 min.

Tip
Garnish with Nib Sugar to really bring out the flavour of the saffron buns.
