Ingredients
Herring brine
75 ml vinegar
75 ml water
75 ml Dansukker Sugar
5 crushed allspices
5 crushed black or white peppercorns
Garlic brine
50 ml mayonnaise
150 ml junket or similar
50 ml finely chopped dill
50 ml finely chopped parsley
1-2 cloves of grated garlic
Instructions
Mix all ingredients for the garlic brine into a bowl.
Drain the brine from the herring, dry the herring with paper towels and mix it with the garlic brine.
Leave it in a cool place for at least one full day to allow the flavour to mature.
