Ingredients
1 untreated orange
600 g redcurrants
400 g blackcurrants
100 ml water
1 kg Dansukker Jam Sugar
Instructions
Peel the oranges with a potato peeler and cut the peel into very thin strips. Remove the skin from the orange segments and chop them into pieces. Combine everything except the sugar in a saucepan, cover and boil for 10 minutes. Add the sugar and continue boiling for another 2 minutes.
This jam can be served with meat or liver pâté as an alternative to Cumberland sauce. Just add wine and mustard and stir well. The sauce will be slightly denser than real Cumberland sauce.
