Cinnamon bun stick bread

Cinnamon twist bread is even more irresistible eaten outdoors. Enjoy freshly baked twist bread flavoured with scrumptious cinnamon. The perfect treat after your barbecue.

Ingredients

50 g butter at room temperature
250 ml milk
80 g Dansukker Organic Light Syrup
420 g plain flour
3 g salt
10 g baking powder
6 g cardamom

Cinnamon filling
50 g butter
75 g Dansukker Brown Sugar
6 g cinnamon

To decorate
Dansukker Nib Sugar

Instructions

Prepare the dough for the twist bread at home and bring it with you in a bag. Combine all the ingredients for the twist bread in a mixing bowl. Work the dough until smooth.

Make the filling. Melt the butter. Add the sugar and cinnamon. Wort the filling into the dough and add a little extra flour if the dough is too sticky.

Bring the dough out with you. Divide the dough into 16 pieces and roll them between your hands into lengths. Twist the lengths around sticks. Sprinkle with nib sugar (optional) and cook the twist bread on the barbecue.

If you prefer to bake the twist bread in the oven, twist the lengths into spirals and bake in the centre of the oven for 10-15 minutes at 200°C (with fan).
