Ingredients

Black spaghetti
Grated parmesan

Sauce
1 tin whole tomatoes
1 onion
1-2 garlic cloves
1 tbsp Dansukker Dark Muscovado Sugar
2-3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
1 tsp powdered paprika
Small pinch cayenne pepper
½ tsp salt
1 tsp potato starch

Instructions

Start with the sauce. Peel and dice the onion. Combine all the ingredients except the potato starch in a saucepan, cover and simmer for 10 minutes. Liquidise the sauce or put it through a food mill. Put the sauce back into the saucepan and bring to the boil. Mix the potato starch with a little water and stir into the sauce to thicken it.

Cook the pasta according to the packet instructions. Grate the parmesan. Arrange the pasta on a serving dish. Pour a little sauce over the pasta. Sprinkle with the cheese. Serve the pasta accompanied by the remaining sauce.
