Ingredients
1 packet diced bacon, 120-150 g
1 large onion, diced
3 tbsp Chinese soy sauce
3 finely chopped cloves of garlic
500 g tomato passata
3 tbsp tomato purée
3/4 dl Dansukker Dark Muscovado sugar
2 tbsp Dansukker Brown Sugar
2 tbsp Dansukker Light Syrup
0.25 g liquid smoke
7 g chilli powder
10 g Colman's mustard powder
5 g powdered paprika
10 g salt
1 bay leaf
1 g ground cloves
0.5 g cayenne pepper
Instructions
Brown the bacon in a saucepan. Add the chopped onion and sauté. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for about 45 minutes until the sauce has thickened. Pour into a jar or bottle. Store in the refrigerator.
