Barbro’s garlic buns

Ingredients

50 g yeast
5 dl lukewarm water
2 tbsp Dansukker bread baking syrup
2 tsp salt
3 garlic cloves, crushed
12 dl plain flour

To glaze
Garlic grill oil

Instructions

Crumble the yeast into a bowl. Add the water and stir until the yeast dissolves. Add the syrup, salt and garlic. Work in the flour gradually until the dough comes away from the sides of the bowl. Cover with a tea towel and leave to rise for 15 minutes. Tip the dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth. Divide the dough into pieces. Shape into oval buns and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Leave to rise for 30 minutes. Brush the buns with grill oil. Bake at the centre of the oven at 225°C for 15 minutes. Leave to cool on a wire rack.
