Ingredients

1 1/4 dl Dansukker Granulated sugar
1 dl Dansukker Brown Sugar
1 tsp Dansukker Vanilla Sugar
100 g butter or margarine
1 tbsp water
1 egg
6 dl plain flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 pinches of salt
After Eight Surprise 18 pieces
36 walnut halves

Instructions

Mix the granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla sugar together with the margarine or butter, water and egg in a large bowl and whisk with an electric whisk the mixture is smooth. Work in the flour and baking powder. Put the dough in a plastic bag and refrigerate for 1 hour.

Work the dough until smooth and form to a sausage. Cut into 36 pieces. Divide each After Eight piece down the middle. Cover each piece of chocolate with a piece of dough and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Press a walnut half firmly into each cake. Bake at the centre of the oven at 175°C for approx. 10 minutes. Leave to cool on a wire rack. Store in a dry, cool place.

You can make a quicker and simpler version of the cakes. When you have formed the dough into a sausage, cut into slices and bake in the middle of the oven for about 8 minutes. Take the cakes out of the oven and place a whole or half After Eight on the cake (depending on size) and place a half walnut on top.
