Ingredients

4 pears
½ litre white wine
1 dl Dansukker Granulated Sugar
½ g saffron
2 tbsp butter or margarine
½ dl Dansukker Brown Sugar Dry
50 g walnuts

Instructions

Peel the pears but leave the stalks attached. Put the wine, sugar and saffron in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Put the pears in the warm liquid and boil until soft. The cooking time will depend on how ripe the pears are. Put the butter ad brown sugar in a saucepan or small frying pan and heat until the sugar melts. Coarsely chop the walnuts and stir into the caramelised sugar. Stand the pears on small plates and arrange the walnuts around them.
