2 tbsp Dansukker white syrup
2 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 kg red apples
20 almonds, blanched
Mix the syrup and lemon juice in a glass. Cut four wedges out of each apple. Cut a wedge out of each apple wedge to make an open mouth. Brush the sides of the apple quarters with the syrup mixture. Cut the almonds into slivers and stick them into the apples.
