Mix flour, sugar, margarine and egg into a dough, for example using a food processor. Allow to rest in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Set the oven temperature at 175°C. Cut out the dough in small aluminum forms that are placed on a baking tray. Bake in the centre of the oven for about 10 minutes. Cut the nougat in as many pieces as there are forms. Put a piece in every form immediately after taking the tray out of the oven.
Put the nut cakes on a baking tray and leave it in the oven until roasted. Rub off as much of the crust as possible.
Mix butter or margarine, cream, sugar and syrup in a saucepan and let it simmer until it starts to thicken, approx. 10 minutes. Add the nuts. Pour the mixture into the forms.
Let the delicious nut cake forms cool off before storing them in jars with tight lids.
